Fans will love these Hogwarts Legacy characters for a long time to come.

If you go into Hogwarts Legacy thinking that it will be like the Persona games, you will be let down. Players won’t be able to start hooking up with the boys and girls at this school. If the creators decide to try again with this magical world, that might happen in a sequel.

Even though there isn’t any kissing in Hogwarts Legacy, there are a lot of interesting characters in it. Some are written better than others, which is clear. Some of these characters don’t have a lot of screen time, but that doesn’t make them any less great. There will be spoilers that show what their best qualities are.

Isidora

Isidora

Isidora is the main bad guy behind the scenes of the game, but she is already dead when the game starts. Ranrok and Victor Rookwood are after the player character because of her. They know that the student knows about Ancient Magic because Isidore wrote and studied about Ancient Magic.

Isidora knows that her repressed emotions have given her a lot of power, and he wants to get his hands on the motherboard. She becomes evil as she studies, but Isidora’s original goal was to help people, so her pursuit was right. At least this makes her seem less evil than Voldemort.

Peeves

Peeves

Peeves is also kind of a bad guy in the game. He is annoying, and his big mouth does get the player into some trouble. Even so, it’s hard not to like how wild he is because the game is a perfect copy of how the book makes him sound. Peeves is an agent of chaos who doesn’t care about anyone but himself.

At Hogwarts, it seems like his only goal is to get students in trouble for his own amusement, but he’s also not above torturing professors. It’s fun to see him show up out of the blue with a new bit.

Professor Hecat

Professor Hecat

Hecat is the teacher for Defense Against the Dark Arts. Her entrance in Hogwarts Legacy is great because she saves a student from being crushed by a dragon’s skeleton and then, in a way, burns him. She cares about her students’ safety, but she’s not afraid to tell them off, which is funny.

It’s also great that this weak old woman with a hunchback is basically one of the most powerful witches at Hogwarts. It just shows that power can come in small, wrinkled packages as well, and that you should never judge a book by its cover.

Professor Garlick

Professor Garlick

Professor Garlick is in charge of Herbology, and just like Professor Hecat, she has a sneaky way about her. Garlick might look like the new witch on the block who doesn’t know what she’s doing, but she’s actually very smart. She can be both mean and kind, like when she tells you a little about the professor she took over for.

Garlick talks about how the old professor’s eye was gouged out by a Bowtruckle, which is a monster from the Fantastic Beasts movies that looks like a bunch of sticks. Her first loyalty is to plants, and then, further away, to people.

Professor Ronen

Professor Ronen

Professor Ronen has more energy than any other teacher at Hogwarts. He is in charge of Charms, and when he talks about himself, it sounds like a tight five from a comedy show. He makes a joke about how everyone in the class forgot their spells over the summer because they used a spell that makes people forget things, called “obliviate,” on each other.

It seems unlikely that a group of witches and wizards wouldn’t want to learn magic. It’s not like going to a Muggle school and learning a skill that isn’t useful. These kids should be happy to be taking Charms and to have a fun teacher like Ronen.

Sebastian

Sebastian

Sebastian is one of the most important characters in Hogwarts Legacy because he is directly connected to the main plot. At first, he seems like a bad boy who likes to break the rules a little bit. As Sebastian’s quest lines go on, he gets darker and darker, which is typical of how books and movies show Slytherin characters.

He wants to save his sister from a terrible fate, which is a good goal. Because of how he tries to solve it, he’s almost a bad guy. How these quests go is up to the players, since they have some good options that can lead to a few different results.

Poppy

Poppy

Poppy is a new character who was added late to Hogwarts Legacy. She shows up when players take the class on taming beasts. Poppy has a soft spot for animals, just like Professor Garlick. Her grandmother works with animals and people who want to stop illegal trade in magical beasts by poachers.

Most of her quests have to do with getting rid of this poacher’s ring. It goes to some crazy places, like a fight with a dragon, which, despite the opening chase, doesn’t happen very often in Happy Wheels game. Poppy works hard to reach her goals, but she also loves to have fun and is a joy to be around.

Ominis

Ominis

Without Ominis, Sebastian would not be half as good as he is. He also goes to school in Slytherin, and he is blind. As a child, he was forced to use Unforgivable Curses, which hurt his body and heart so much that they could never be fixed. He is related to Salazar Slytherin, who was a founder of Hogwarts and had dark goals.

Even though Sebastian says he wants to use dark magic for good, Ominis doesn’t want anything to do with it. The story of Ominis is exciting as long as players realize that he is right much sooner than Sebastian does. This poor boy’s broken eyes are the result of a lot of bad luck.

The game Hogwarts Legacy came out on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X on February 10, 2023.
